New signing Adeoye Yusuff has said signing his one year deal at Dagenham was the best moment of his career so far.

Speaking to the Official Site the striker thanked manager Wayne Burnett for giving him the opportunity to potentially shine at this level and now his focus was on repaying that faith.

‘It’s an amazing feeling, I’m very thankful to the gaffer for giving me this opportunity to play professional football. Hopefully I can kick on and do what I do, which is scoring goals and helping the team.’

A story you don’t often here is that after signing his professional deal with us, he actually went back to his restaurant job to hand in his notice, so it must be a strange feeling for him.

‘This is probably the best moment of my career, it was amazing to sign and after that I went back to work. I was at work all day Friday and then on Saturday I made my debut, it was surreal.’

Yussuff went on to credit the work of his former manager at Chatham because he knows he did an awful lot for him, building his confidence and helping him develop more as a player and he’s certainly played his part in helping him to reach this level.

‘I can’t thank him enough for that.’

With us having a number of options up front, Yusuff also says he feels that he’s a different option to what we have and he feels that will help him get pitch time, but also enables him to learn from our other strikers to improve his own game.

‘With the way we’ve been playing, with the three up front, I’d like to think I can play in any of those positions. I’m quite physical, I like to get my body in there and go into battle with people and get my goals as well. I’m quite different to our current forwards, I pose a different threat – hopefully the more I play, the more people can see the differences.’
