Dagenham and Redbridge have lost another pre season friendly in our preparations for the coming campaign, so manager Wayne Burnett is certainly learning exactly what we need to improve upon ahead of the new season.

The manager again took the opportunity to cast his eye over a few people and this time it was former Leyton Orient youngster George Porter, and Alan Connell and QPR youngster David Fitzpatrick.

Dagenham got a good start in the game and were playing some good football which culminated in us taking the early lead when Ashley Chambers turned from provider to scorer and scored the opener after only four minutes of the match.

Sadly that lead didn’t last too long as Wealdstone dragged themselves back into from a freekick that curled beyond goalkeeper Liam O’Brien after eleven minutes.

Chances were pretty limited for the rest of the first half, but the opposition called on O’Brien a few times before we got to the break.

Wealdstone started the second half far more brightly and on 55 minutes took the advantage in the game, scoring their second goal.

Jack Connors playing in midfield owing to our injury situation at the minute, almost brought us back on level terms forcing a good save from their keeper, and each side had a further clear chance to add a goal without taking it.

Dagenham:

O`Brien, Gayle (Raymond 76), Green, Doe (Obafemi 69), Saah, Connors, Bingham, Fitzpatrick, Connell (Goldberg 69), Chambers (Nouble 69), Porter.
