Ben Strevens has said he doesn’t believe Dagenham are too far off having a Play Off battle, as long as we can string a run of results together.

In quotes carried by London24 the striker said.

‘It would be the dream scenario to make an impact straight away, but I think we need to get a few good results back to back and then we can start thinking about the play offs. I don’t think we are too far off, but we need a few wins.’

As for his return to Victoria Road, until at least the summer, the 32 year old added that it was almost a no brainer once he knew John Still was interested in bringing him back.

In other news former striker Paul Benson has described the return of Strevens as being huge for the club, and he expects him to do well for us – however he does caveat that by saying he hopes he wins the battle when he faces us for the first time since 2010 with Cheltenham, and he also hopes he outscores Ben during the course of the season!
