Dagenham are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Dagenham and Redbridge in the three two victory over Plymouth Argyle at the weekend at Home Park was enough to earn Still a place as manager of the side in charge of the most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Still was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Despite their recent relegation, Still managed to get the very best out of his players as they put a dent in Plymouth Argyle’s hopes of automatic promotion. The Daggers raced into a three-goal first-half lead at Home Park and, despite the Pilgrims’ best efforts, held on for an impressive 3-2 triumph.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Still for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Joel Coleman (Oldham Athletic), Darius Charles (Wimbledon), Lewis Dunk (Brighton), Marc Roberts (Barnsley), Michael Jacobs (Wigan Athletic), Michael O’Connor (Port Vale), Henri Lansbury (Nottingham Forest), Dean Parrett (Stevenage), Chris Taylor (Millwall), James Hanson (Bradford City), Lucas Akins (Burton Albion).

Manager – John Still (Dagenham and Redbridge).
