Following the Daggers 1-0 loss to Aldershot our League status will go down to the final day of the season.

Speaking to the press following the loss we find ourselves one point above the drop zone and are one of seven teams who go into the final game of the season looking to secure their future.

‘We had chances in the first half and towards the end but when you have them you have to take them and capitalise. Today we haven’t taken them.’

Burnett says our overall performance was probably worthy of at least a point on the day, because he thinks they played ok, and they worked very hard but ‘you have to score goals, we should’ve taken our chances’.

Now it’s simply a must win game against York, but at least we have the advantage of the home crowd and Burnett is hoping the fans turn up in numbers and help roar us on to the win we need.

The interim manager would obviously prefer to be safe by this point or at least have survival fully in our hands needing only a point, but he doesn’t believe anything less than a maximum return will be enough.

‘If we win, I think we’ll be safe.’
