With manager Wayne Burnett talking about adding further attacking options to the team over the coming week, trialist George Porter has now penned a short term deal with us.

The 22 year old attack minded player has been with the club on trial for a number of weeks now and he has signed a deal keeping him with us initially until December 1st.

Porter began his career at Cray Wanderers before moving to Leyton Orient where he took in loan spells with Lewes and Hastings United, as well as making 34 appearances for them. He then moved to Burnley but didn’t make an appearance, instead being loaned out to Colchester United and AFC Wimbledon.

Having been released by Burnley at the turn of the year, he signed a short term deal with Rochdale, making two appearances for them before the deal expired.

He becomes Dagenham’s 11th signing of the summer and he is registered in time to make his competitive debut for us against Morecambe should the manager choose.
