It’s being reported today that Dagenham and Redbridge have agreed a fee with Peterborough United for striker Rhys Murphy.

The 23 year old is the second top scorer in League Two, only being Scunthorpe United’s Sam Winnall and speculation has been rife of late linking him with a number of clubs including Peterborough, but also other League One sides such as Coventry City and Bradford City, but apparently they have dismissed the speculation.

Dagenham to Peterborough is an often made move in recent years as Dwight Gayle and Craig Mackail-Smith have previously made the same moves, but they are by no means alone in that.

The papers seem pretty confident that a fee has been agreed, but as of yet there is no official confirmation from either club, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the player move on this window sadly.

Since joining us last summer, he has made 28 appearances (all starts) and scored 12 goals.
