Dagenham and Redbridge lost their second pre season friendly of the summer when Maidstone took a 22nd minute lead on Tuesday evening.

We narrowly came up short in the game, but certainly had the greater chances to take the victory even though manager Wayne Burnett shuffled the pack and gave game time to the likes of David Fitzpatrick, Jon-Paul Pittman, Alan Connell, Gozie Ugwu, and Nabil Guedioura. Experienced striker Jamie Cureton also featured in the second half.

Undoubtedly there would’ve been plenty of positives for Burnett and it gave him a good chance to run the eye over some trialists, but the scoreline will smart for a bit.
