Josh Scott reached the milestone of 100 league appearances for Dagenham and Redbridge last weekend in the game against Exeter.

He’s obviously already reached the 100 mark when you factor in Cup games and Play Off matches and the like, but against Exeter he hit the mark for league appearances only.

In total he has now made 116 appearances for the club since joining us back in the 2009-10 season, scoring 15 goals.

His current contract runs until the summer of 2014, after he signed a two year extension back in 2012 and he made his debut in the league cup game against Cardiff City as a substitute.

Speaking to the Official Site about the achievement, he talked briefly about the Exeter game saying that we’ve made some good signings over the summer and the new players are starting to bed in now and although we should’ve got all three points in the game, everybody has taken a lot of confidence from the fact we are unbeaten on home soil.

He also talked about his time at Dagenham and his favourite moment so far.

‘It’s when I scored four goals in the play offs against Morecambe, you only dream of having a day like that. To score four goals in one of the biggest games I’ve ever played is amazing.’

He adds that he’s confident that we can make a promotion push this season as he believes this is as good as a squad as we’ve ever had at the club, but to achieve that there’s a lot of hard work still to put in.
