Dagenham and Redbridge have today confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Mark Cousins.

The 27 year old stopper has signed a two year contract with the club and joins us from Colchester United, where he has so far been a one club man in his career, making 58 appearances since being signed by their former manager Paul Lambert.

In his time with them, he has had loan spells at Staines Town, Enfield Town and Yeading.

He made his debut for them in the Championship back in 2007/08 having come on the pitch in their two all draw with Barnsley, and he then went on to establish himself as their No 1 in the 2008/09 campaign where he remained first choice for most of the season.

He joins us as the second keeper to sign for the club this summer, following our departures, and he will now battle it out with Liam O’Brien.
