Another pre season friendly and another loss for Dagenham and Redbridge.

With manager Wayne Burnett confirming in interviews ahead of the game that he knows we haven’t been playing well, he insisted that results weren’t a priority and he pointed to the injury issues we have as well at this time, but he said he wanted to see a much improved performance from us against Colchester United and arguable he would’ve seen that in our showing.

Despite Dagenham taking a three one advantage, two goals in the space of three minutes turned the game on it’s head but as far as positives go, there will have been plenty on display for the gaffer this time round.

Goals for us came from Abu Ogogo, trialist Ashley Hemmings and Ashley Chambers and we were good value for the lead whilst it lasted.

The gaffer will now be hoping we take this scoring form, but improve defensively, into our next friendly against Conference South side Concord Rangers on Tuesday night.

Dagenham:

Cousins (O`Brien 72), Partridge, Doe (Gayle 72), Saah, Connors (Green 72), Boucaud (Guedioura 72), Ogogo (Raymond 72), Porter (Cureton 64), Chambers (Nouble 72), Hemmings (Goldberg 72), Howell.
