Dagenham and Redbridge’s encounter with a youthful Premier League Tottenham Hotspur side was a good run out for us, although it ended in defeat.

It was a strong performance from Dagenham who stood up to Spurs’ mostly U21 side on the day, and trialist Christian Doidge was again impressive as he grabbed what turned out to be the consolation on the day.

Jonathan Obika put the vistors one up two minutes from the half time break, and Cristian Ceballos doubled their advantage with a second half penalty.

Having then pulled one back for us, Dagenham unfortunately couldn’t quite get another clear chance to level the scores.
