Dagenham don’t do too well against the opponents faced on Saturday as they against beat us as we slipped to a home setback.

As part of Northampton Town’s successful relegation survival bid last season they beat us, something that they managed one again on Saturday afternoon at Victoria Road when they went away with a 2-0 win.

Marc Richards (8) got them off to great start with an early goal. Kaid Mohamed pulled the ball across to Richards who kept his head to fire home passed Liam O’Brien.

The visitors were at it again at the midway point of the half when Richards (23) was set up again to head past a helpless O’Brien, from a Joel Byrom corner, to extend their lead and take them into half time two-nil up.

Matt Duke’s only real save of note in the Northampton goal saw him turn a Luke Howell’s effort over the bar from 25-yards as the visitors went away happy and two-nil victors.
