Manager Wayne Burnett has said that he’s looking towards the Bury game as an opportunity to keep our home unbeaten record going.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of this weekends game, Burnett said that he knows he’s saying every week that he’s focusing on three points, and our home games are all about staying unbeaten, but at the end of the day that’s football and he’s certainly not going into games looking to lose or entertaining those thoughts.

‘It’d be nice to keep a clean sheet Saturday, we need to sure up a little bit and be better defensively. We kept a clean sheet against Bristol Rovers so hopefully that will continue.’

Burnett is delighted because in every game so far we are creating good chances and getting plenty of shots on target so he’s hopeful that we can continue our run of good form and keep scoring.

Obviously he knows it won’t always go our way, and there will be games where we can’t buy a goal, but as long as we are creating he’s not going to be too worried.

As a little bit of a news roundup, defender Luke Wilkinson has turned 23 years old and the club wish him the best, and Scott Doe has said that he was delighted with the team’s performance against Morecambe, and he thought he had a particularly good game as well, so he’s focused on continuing to improve and maintain his own form, as well as helping the team continue with their run of positives results.

Doe adds that he’s pleased with how his understanding with Brian Saah is developing, and he believes he’s settled in well since joining us and with competition from Wilkinson as well, who he teamed up with last year, that should help keep them all on their toes.
