Manager Wayne Burnett knows that Dagenham will be up against a tough test when we face Exeter tomorrow, but he feels if we are at our best we can take all three points.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game Burnett said confidence could be taken from the victory last season which was pivotal in our desire to stay in the league, but despite Exeter’s fluctuating form this campaign he’s under no illusions as to how hard a game it will be for us.

‘We will be going there to win, we know they haven’t got a great record at home, but I think they’ve been unfortunate with some of the results that haven’t gone their way. We’ve been disappointed with our form as of late with results not going how we’d like, but we are still creating those chances.’

Burnett goes on to say that it’s no great secret that Dagenham need to start picking up wins again, especially away from home as despite some improvements that’s been matched off against a dip in home form as well sadly, so we have to do better, especially in front of the sticks but his job is in keeping the pressure of the players because then they should play with more freedom.

As for the run of fixtures we have, especially this month, Burnett also said that he feels the players are more than ready for the challenge ahead, and he feels we are in good shape mentally and physically following some good training back at the end of February.

‘We’ve got seven games to go this month and everyone will be called upon.’
