Dagenham and Redbridge boss Wayne Burnett has said that he’s expecting a very tough match when we travel to Morecambe tomorrow.

Dagenham obviously have a very good home record at the moment, being unbeaten in five games in all competitions, but we have yet to pick up a win on our travels having lost to Fleetwood, grabbing a draw against Scunthorpe, but again losing to Mansfield most recently.

Morecambe are sitting high in the table in sixth place at the moment having gained having gained 13 points from their opening 7 games, and they are currently on a four match winning streak.

Speaking to the Official Site the manager said of the game, that at this level there were no easy games as everyone of them is difficult for a different reason, and with Morecambe high on confidence with their recent form, he knows we’ll have to step up the plate given our own away form if we want the result every Dagger does.

‘We are in high spirits, winning has helped. It creates that air of confidence and belief. We are going in on the back of a good win, we know it’s going to be difficult, but we are ready to go.’

Burnett says that the players know he wasn’t best pleased with their performance against Mansfield and whilst the players responded well in our two following home games, he’s again looking for a reaction tomorrow.

Josh Scott is likely to miss his second game on the bounce after picking up a knee injury the other week, and Louis Dennis and Ian Gayle are also still on the treatment table.
