Manager Wayne Burnett’s pre season for Dagenham and Redbridge kicked off the other day with a victory against Bromley in our first pre season friendly of the summer.

Trialist Alan Connell secured us the win with the only goal of the game, but Burnett did take the opportunity to see a few of our current trialists in action over the course of the 90 minutes, as he did play effectively two sides in each half.

Connell, formerly of Northampton Town, Swindon Town, Grimsby and Bradford City obviously played his part in the game, but so did former QPR youngster and Dagenham loanee Troy Hewitt. Former Wycombe striker Jon-Paul Pittman also got 45 minutes under his belt in the first half as he looks to impress.

Following the half time break former Reading striker Gozie Ugwu, Crystal Palace youngster Nabil Guedioura and Marco Lobo got time on the pitch, and they were joined by new signings Nathan Green, Frankie Raymond and Mark Cousins.
